I learned a great new LifeTOOL yesterday and want to share it with you!
As I‘ve mentioned before, I’m always listening to cd’s and programs while driving back and forth to appointments. I love learning new things!
I learned this particular LifeTOOL from Dr. Joe Vitale while listening to one of his audio books.
He calls it:
What that stands for is “Turn It Into Something Good!”
He talks about doing this at the times in our lives where things don’t turn out as we might like them to. Or worse yet, we run in to problems that get in our way of success.
One of the things I’ve noticed in my own recovery is…
When challenges or problems show up – they have a tendency to add fuel to the depression or anxiety.
What I love about this LifeTOOL is how it forces us to look at the positive!
Instead of our brains REACTING to the problem, it gets us to RESPOND with a solution.
Or, in other words, “Look for the silver lining!”
Here’s how to put it into practice:
Step 1 – Notice your thoughts when a problem or challenge arises.
Step 2 – Ask yourself this question: “How can I turn this in to a positive?”
Step 3 – TAKE ACTION!
TISSG – Turn It Into Something Good!
Let me know in the comment box below what you’ve been able to turn into something good!!!!
